Laarakkers has made up its mind
Today, Laarakkers
, a demolition contractor with offices in the Netherlands and
Germany, finally decided that its new Volvo EC700 HRD is going to
be the full spec. Volvo EC700Blc HRD machine.
Before it said; it wanted a standard Volvo EC700 with fixed heavy
duty undercarriage and fit it with the old HRD boom from its
EC650.
It now is convinced that the full package offered by Volvo is the
right choice for the company.
This new machine has an operating weight of 90t and a maximum
working height of 32m when using a tool weighing 2.5t, and 29m
carrying a 3.5t tool, the 3m extension, equipped with Volvo’s
unique two pin quick connect system, is than removed.
This quick connect system also means that the machine can be fitted
with a standard Volvo excavator boom for earthmoving applications as
required, with boom changes taking one person less than 30
minutes.
The machine will also have the heavy duty hydraulic extending
under-carriage, and a special designed safety package.
When in demolition mode, the machine can work in a full 360°
envelop.
Laarakkers also bought a full spec. Volvo EC360C HRD. It now runs a
field follow B-version of this machine.
If everything goes as planned the EC700B HRD should be delivered at
the end of January 2008. |

Again
Cat 385C 60TUHD found!
Two
months ago we told here that according to the Nacirema
website the company will soon get the Highest HRD in the world. We
were curious to see what kind of machine this is going to be?
Especialy because the picture being used was a picture from
the Cat 385C 60TUHD from Beelen.
Now we found another company called Demo
Group OY, that says it operates a 150t 60mtr. telescopic Cat
385C TUHD.
Beelen says it's not going to sell its machine. And Rusch
has no orders for another Cat 385C 60TUHD. So again, we are fed up
with a mystery.
As for now;The Kobelco SK3500D with 65mtr Rig from Nabekai
is still the World's Highest HRD machne.
Next year it has to handover this title to the Cat 5110B 90mtr. TUHD
from Euro
Demolition.

R.Å.D.
opens Dubai office
R.Å.D. Sweden AB, one of Sweden’s biggest demolition firms, has
started to offer demolition services in the Middle East .
The company had previously carried out several high rise demolition
jobs in Qatar and currently they have many prospects in the neighboring
Dubai.
The potential and need for specialist demolition firms in the area
is the reason for R.Å.D. opening an office in Dubai and will cover
the entire Middle East region.
The company is currently involved in four demolition jobs in Dubai.
R.Å.D. will mainly offer specialized demolition such as High Reach
and
heavy-duty services.
For these works the company is planning to purchase a huge
demolition excavator from Japan with a 120ft long boom that is
capable of carrying attachments weighing up 7t. The company
already owns a Kocurek made 40mtr. Case CX800-HRD, a 25mtr. and
19mtr. HRD machine.
R.Å.D. is also evaluating the possibility of buying a large
crawler crane for high reach applications.
