First
test run for new Liebherr R984C HRD.
It
looks like Liebherr
is planning to really enter the E-HRD market. Developments are well
underway, and some Intel tells that the new Extreme-High Reach
Demolition product-line will be something completely new.
As for now the manufacturer is still developing and renew their
traditional HRD products.
The latest is one that also puts them in the E-HRD market. We
traveled to Genova-Italy to see the first hours of a field-follow
R984C-EW E-HRD.
The base machine was build back in 2002 and delivered to the Italian
demolition contractor Despe.
For a couple of years this company put the machine to the test in
the Liebherr Field-follow program.
The tests were done using it with the standard boom.
Mid. August 2007 the machine went back to the Liebherr factory in
Colmar to check the machine fully, rebuild some parts, and fit it
with the new developed E-HRD boom.
18-09-07 The machine reaches the Italian Sky for the first time. The
first HRD field-tests will be; using it with the new 46mtr (pin)
E-HRD boom option.
Tests have to show what the machine is capable of,
and how far it can go. We saw it perform its skills, and we can say it looked very good.
As we said before; the machine is in a Test-phase, and that means that we can not tell you its specs, other than that this R984C-EW E-HRD has a upper-class undercarriage (that of a Liebherr
R992).

Cat 385C UHD sold in Russia
Zeppelin
Russia is proud to announce that it just delivered the first
Caterpillar 385C UHD to the biggest demolition company on the
North-West part of Russia, called: "Demolition
Association".

They have big stock of equipment – 60 excavators, more than 100
trucks, more than 500 people.
Fully rigged: it weighs more than 98ton, and reaches 39.5mtr (Pin).
This makes it the highest specialized Demolition excavator in
Russia, according to;
"Andrey
Pedrov, Sales manager Zeppelin Russia".
It is currently working at a large demolition project for Gazprom.

Komatsu PC350HRD-8
Komatsu had chosen the Matexpo
2007 exhibition to show its next Dash-8 HRD product.
After the PC450HRD-8 was shown on Bauma
2007, it was time to show the PC350HRD-8 to the public.
The machine has 23m Pin height. Features the new Quick release boom
system, and has several new safety systems. It can handle a 2.500kg
Tool, and weighs 48.418kg.

One of the
most seen accidents with HRD machines, is caused to non solid ground
situations. Underground "Not Filled" cellars, pipelines and pits often causes machines to fall through, or worse to
tip and fall down "Cab side".

Custom Kobelco SK950LCD sold
Last month a Custom build Kobelco SK950LCD was sold on a Japanese
online-auction for $1000USD.
The miniature 1:50 model was hand made by Craig Watts, Nagoya
Japan.

Komatsu PC450HRD-8 in 1:50
Komatsu
has launched two HRD miniature models. Both models are based on the
PC450LCD-7 HRD. The models are made by: Universal
Hobbies.
After Case and Liebherr, Komatsu is the third OEM to bring out a
HRD-miniature model.
