"Longest HRD for Nacirema"
According
to the Nacirema
website the company will soon get the Highest HRD in the world. We
are curious to see what kind of machine this is going to be? Especially
because the picture being used is a picture from the Cat
385C 60TUHD from Beelen.
As for now; The Kobelco SK3500D with 65mtr Rig from Nabekai
is still the World's Highest HRD excavator.
At the end of this year it has to handover this title to the Cat
5110B 90mtr TUHD from Euro
Demolition.

Minnesota’s
First HRD Arrives
Veit,
has taken delivery on the state’s first high-reach backhoe.
The equipment has several features that make it ideal for demolition
in high and tight spaces, and safer than a crane and wrecking ball.
Unlike cranes, the backhoe does not require a significant amount of
space in which to operate and is able to demolish a structure in
controlled amounts, relatively vibration-free. The end of the boom
is equipped with a high-pressure dust suppression system, which
eliminates the need for a laborer to stand in an aerial lift where
fall hazards are a concern.
“Our
investment in this technology will help us service our customers in
a safer, more efficient manner,” said Steve Hosier, demolition
division manager with Veit.
Veit’s
high-reach backhoe was custom designed and includes a Caterpillar
365C base, and was fitted with a specialized HRD boom capable of
reaching 125 feet

New
orders for STC BV.
STC BV. is currently building two more Hitachi ZX870LCH-3 50mtr.
E-HRD's.
One will go to France to Cardem and the other is sold to Denmark.
Both machines will be slightly different than the first one which
was sold to
Euro
Demolition. Also the one for Denmark will have a third
boom option; a long straight.
And we've heard, that if the machines remain a success number five
or six will go to a Dutch Demolition contractor. |

Liebherr R974BVH-HD stays
Many contractors tried to buy it, but the real story is: "It's
not for sale, according to a spokesman from Heijmans
Milieu-Sloop-Recycling."
We have to demolish 20 highway bridges and also some other big
demolition projects were the machine has to perform its skills. We
don't know where the rumors came from, but as I said; "We need
the machine!"

"For Sale": Kobelco SK1000DW
Molson
has recently acquired a Kobelco SK1000DW, a demolition machine
equipped with a Kobelco 3-piece boom and one-piece arm that extends
to 40 metres. Long enough to reach a 13 story building. The boom and
arm variations and attachments enable a wide range of applications,
from building dismantling and foundation demolition to bucket
operations. It uses an 80-ton crawler crane carrier which has good
stability and a low centre of gravity, and is also equipped with a
high-performance power plant.
The SK1000D is equipped with several safety features including an
Anti-drift Boom and Arm Holding Valves which prevent the boom from
dropping suddenly should the hydraulic lines malfunction. A Lever
Lock System prevents mechanical malfunction and a camera on the boom
enables the operator to view operations. The wide round cab interior
gives the operator a broad field of vision and air conditioning as
well as the double slide seat contribute to higher operator comfort.

A view of the new PMI area
PMI'
s 30-year experience in specialized earth-moving machinery, combined
with CMO2' s 25 years of consolidated expertise in high-quality
construction equipment formed an all-new brand: PMI Joint-stock
corporation, about 3 years ago.
PMI-SpA as it is called, has grown rapidly since that time,
and therefore needed a bigger pace to keep up with it’s
activities.
A completely new plant was found in Cortemaggiore (PC) close to the
highway exit of Fiorenzuola d’Arda.
The new surface measures a total of 50.000 m˛, of which 12,000 m˛
covered. Ten thousand m˛ will be dedicate to actual workshop,
warehouse and logistics, while two thousand m˛ will be assigned to
offices.
PMI Spa invites people to come and see the new site, and products on
21and 22 september.
